ABOUT ME

Rich is an accomplished professional with a background in law, business, and community leadership. Originally from Miami, Florida, the son of a Cuban immigrant who fled a Communist regime, Rich moved to Douglas County over 29 years ago to attend the University of Kansas. After obtaining both a law degree and an MBA from KU, he worked at a large law firm in Kansas City for 3 years before leaving to start a successful financial firm with friends in Lawrence.

In addition to his business ventures, Rich has been actively involved in the Douglas County community, serving on various boards. Ten years ago, Rich left the business world to lead a local non-profit organization that serves college students. He has also dedicated over twenty years to coaching youth sports and mentoring the next generation, making a positive impact on the lives of young people across Douglas County.

Rich and his wife have been married for 21 years and have five children.
